 A newspaper article some years back documented the fight of a young man grappling to come to terms with his sexuality. He had admitted to his parents that he was gay and they had told him that what he was, is bad, evil, and wrong, that he was going on the path of hell and should remove all such thoughts from his mind. He was advised to marry the girl his parents had chosen for him and lead a normal life like others. But will he have done the right thing by marrying that girl? He would never have been able to make her happy and he himself would not have been truly happy. Not one, but two lives would have been spoiled. The issues would have become much worse if they had children.


But in recent times, many lesbians, gays, bisexuals and transgender people have slowly started coming out of the closet and admitting their sexuality to themselves and the society.
