 The future of today lies in the hands of the children, the young blood; because, it is going to be this young blood that is going to steer the course of the future! Puerto Vallarta acknowledges these societal needs and therefore invests abundantly in fundraisers, organizations and events that contribute effectively to good causes. The Children of the Dump is one such organization that came into being in the year 1998. It was originally called Feed the Children Vallarta but later changed to The Children of the Dump.


This program feeds up to 2,300 children every day through the constant help of donations. This organization is host to nine day care centers and also an after-school program which caters to the children ranging from grade 3 to 6. These classes teach them not only basic English language skills but also mathematics and computers. The main goal and agenda of Children of the Dump is not just to provide food for the needy but also to provide basic necessities to these children.
